[Karen's Educational Background]:
Karen Chan Shwu Huey is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Music at Universiti Malaya. Karen holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music, majoring in Vocal Performance, from Universiti Malaya, where she studied under Dr. Yap Jin Hin and Dr. Ang Mei Foong. Throughout her vocal training, she has also participated in masterclasses conducted by several prominent Malaysian vocal coaches, including Ho Chi Mei, Stephen Tok, Cha Seng Tiang, Cecilia Yap, Samantha Chong, Joseph Leow and Florence Chong. 

 

Electronic Organ with Susan Lim; Piano with Patricia Lee at Johor; Guitar and Drums for one year before moving to Kuala Lumpur; Classical Vocal Singing with Ho Chi Mei (Aug-Oct 2014), Stephen Tok (Oct 2014-Jul 2016), Cha Seng Tiang (Aug 2015 Master Class for Competition), Dr Ang Mei Foong (Jul 2016-Oct 2017); Bachelor Degree's Music Theory lessons with Choo Chooi Foong (2015-2019); Western Flute with Foo Chie Haur (2017-2019), Bachelor Degree in Music at University Malaya Vocal Singing Semester 1-4 (2017-2019) under Dr Yap Jin Hin, and as Vocal Recitalist Semester 5-6 (2019-2020) under Dr Ang Mei Foong.
